Church family, we have an exciting opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus as we reach out to our neighbors this fall! On Sunday, October 20th, following the message on the Good Samaritan, we will be heading out into our neighborhood to engage with 200 homes. This is our chance to connect with our community, offer prayer support, sign up for Thanksgiving food assistance and Christmas gifts for children, and invite our neighbors to our upcoming Trunk or Treat event!
Here’s how you can be involved:
Door-to-Door Outreach – We will visit 200 homes, leaving behind a small gift, a pre-stamped response card, and a flyer about our Trunk or Treat event.
Prayer & Assistance – The postcard will give neighbors the opportunity to request prayer, a Thanksgiving food bag, or Christmas gifts for their children. We’ll collect and respond to these requests as a church family.
Thanksgiving & Christmas Support – We’ll deliver non-perishable Thanksgiving food bags in November and collect Christmas gift requests for a December gift drive.
Fall-Themed Gift – As a token of kindness, we’ll include a small fall-themed item with each packet.
How to Prepare:
October 16th (Midweek): We’ll gather to assemble the packets for delivery.
October 20th – Door-to-Door Outreach:
We will divide the neighborhood into zones and assign volunteers to different areas. This will be a great way to demonstrate love to our neighbors and share the light of Christ!
